We are first generation farmers who arrived at this point through a passion for growing clean, ethical produce and a determination to raise our young family connected to nature. After nearly 20 years saving for land we found our dream block, a blank canvas in our local region of Mount Vincent. We got to work straight away establishing the foundations of our operation, repairing fences, building access, water, off grid solar power and much more. Much progress has been made since it all began back in 2013 but there’s still so much we want to do.
Inspired by the likes of Joel Salatin and determined to provide alternatives to conventional factory farmed products we decided to give raising pastured poultry a go, I mean we’d done it before in our small backyard at Blackalls Park so how hard could it be!? Looking back now only a few years in and it’s clear we had no idea, we’ve made many mistakes but are learning and improving every day. Our success is largely due to the support of all the wonderful families, restaurants and retailers who believe in our vision and have supported us through thick and thin, the support from our local community has been amazing!
Our products now feature in the best restaurants and home kitchens in the Hunter and are developing a reputation for outstanding quality and flavour. Our pasture raised chicken has also been awarded state winner in the 2017 Delicious Awards.
